  • 1.

    From the Home screen, scroll to Settings and press the X button.

    Scroll to Family and Parental Controls and press the X Button.

  • 3.

    Scroll to Family Management and press the X button.

  • 4. Enter your account ID and password, then scroll to OK, then press the X button.
  • 5.

    Follow the on-screen instructions to create a child account and press the X button.

  • 6.

    On your PC sign into your Main Playstation Account.

  • 7. Click on Family Management.
  • 8.

    Click on Add Family Member.

  • 9.

    Click on Add a Child.

  • 10.

    Enter the Date of Birth, then click Next.

  • 11.

    Enter an email address for the Child.

  • 12.

    Enter a password.

  • 13.

    Re-enter the password.

  • 14.

    Click Next.

  • 15.

    Click Next.

  • 16.

    Click Confirm.

  • 17.

    Click Confirm.

  • 18. Select and adjust the desired Parental Controls, then click Confirm.
  • 19.

    Click on Confirm.

  • 20. Select your time zone, then click Confirm.
  • 21.

    Click on Agree and Add to Family..

  • 22. Click OK.
  • 23.

    The new Child Account has now been added.

  • 24. From the Home screen, scroll to User and press the X button.
  • 25.

    Scroll to Switch User and press the X button.

  • 26.

    Scroll to Add User and press the X button.

  • 27.

    Scroll to Get Started and press the X button.

  • 28.

    Scroll to I Agree and press the X button.

  • 29.

    Scroll to Confirm and press the X button.

  • 30. Enter the details of the newly created account, then select Sign In and press the X button.
  • 31. Press the X button.
  • 32.

    Enter the child’s first and last name using the on-screen keyboard, then select Next and press the X button.

  • 33.

    Enter your home location using the on-screen keyboard, then select Next and press the X button.

  • 34.

    Select the desired Avatar, then press the X button.

  • 35.

    Enter an online ID using the on-screen keyboard, then select Next and press the X button.

  • 36.

    Scroll to the desired Privacy Setting (E.g., Friend Focused), then press the X button.

  • 37. Press the X button.
  • 38. Scroll to Apply, then press the X button.
  • 39.

    Scroll to the desired option (E.g., Do This Later), then press the X button.

  • 40. Scroll to Yes, then press the X button.
  • 41. The child account is now setup with the selected restrictions.
