  • 1. Light bar - Used to indicate the controller status, also used in-game to indicate which player you are.

    Touchpad – Used to navigate and is also clickable on both sides, like a laptop touchpad.

    Create button - Used to take screen shots, video captures and also used for quick access to the media gallery.

  • 4.

    Directional buttons – Used to navigate menus and during game play.

  • 5.

    Left Direction Stick – Used to navigate menus and during game play.

  • 6.

    Speaker – Used to enhance the audio experience.

  • 7.

    PS button – Used to access the control centre. Press and hold the PS button to return to the home screen.

  • 8.

    Microphone button – Used to Mute / Unmute the microphone.

  • 9.

    Microphone - Used for online voice chat, game interaction and voice dictation instead of typing with the on-screen keyboard.

  • 10.

    Right Direction Stick – Used to navigate menus and during game play.

  • 11.

    Triangle/Circle/Cross/Square Buttons – Used within game play and for operating the console.

  • 12.

    Options Button – Used for pausing or entering a game menu. Also used access contextual menus from the home screen.

  • 13. L3/R3 - Used to activate in-game movements/controls.
  • 14.

    L1/R1 Digital Shoulder buttons – Used during game play.

  • 15.

    L2/R2 Adaptive Triggers – Used during game play.

    By default L2/R2 are analogue triggers, but may change depending on the context, such as increasing resistance.

  • 16.

    USB C port – Used to connect and charge the controller with the console.

  • 17.

    3.5mm headphone socket – Used to plug in your own headset.
