Setup a Wired Network Connection

Ensure the PlayStation is turned off fully.

Locate the Ethernet socket on the back of the PS5.
- 3.
Attach one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet socket on the PS5.
Attach the other end of the Ethernet cable into a modem or router.
- 4. Turn on the PS5.

From the Home screen, scroll to Settings and press the X button.
- 6.
Scroll to Network and press the X button.
- 7. Scroll to Settings.
- 8.
Press the Right button, scroll to Connect to the Internet and press the X button.
- 9.
Scroll to Set up Internet Connection and press the X button.
- 10.
Scroll to Set Up Wired LAN and press the X button.
- 11.
Scroll to Connect and press the X button.
- 12.
The console will now connect to the network.
- 13.
Press the Circle button.
- 14.
Press the Left button, scroll up to Connection Status.
- 15.
Press the Right button, scroll to Test Internet Connection and press the X button.
- 16.
Your console will now test the internet connection.
- 17. Your Wired Network connection has been set up.
