Switch Tour

1. Power Button

Used to turn the console On/Off or to Sleep Mode.

2. Volume Buttons

Used to turn up and down the volume on the console.

3. 3.5 mm Audio Jack

Used to insert headphones, auxiliary, or 3.5 mm jack devices.

4. Stand

Stand to support the console when playing in tabletop mode.

5. Speakers

Used to produce the sounds and tones of the console and its games.

6. microSD Card Slot

Micro SD card slot located underneath the stand, used for additional storage.

Rail – To connect the Left Side of the Joy-Con.

The fitting for the left JoyCon to slot into.

8. Rail – To connect the Right Side of the Joy-Con

The fitting for the right JoyCon to slot into.

9. Game Card Port

Insert Game Cards into this slot.

10. Touch Screen

The primary display, also used to select options and control the console when not using the JoyCon controllers.

11. IR Motion Camera

The infra red motion camera is used to locate the JoyCon controllers and read their movements.

12. Brightness Sensor

Sensors detects light levels to control screen brightness for optimal viewing.

13. USB Type-C Connector

USB C connector used for data transfer and charging the device.

14. USB 2.0 Ports

Used for data transfer and connection of Pro Controllers.

15. TV Output LED

LED light to indicate the Switch is connected to the TV.

AC Adapter Port

Connection for the AC Adapter to power the device.

A standard USB port.

HDMI Port

Used to connect the HDMI cable to a TV.

19. Minus Button

Used to delete and to work along side the Plus button on the other controller.

20. Left Directional Stick

The left directional stick is used to navigate the menus and used during game play.

21. Right Directional Stick

The right directional stick is used to navigate the menus and used during game play.

22. Directional Buttons

Used for navigating menus and used during game play.

23. Capture button

Used to capture screenshots, can be used in game or within the menus. All screenshots will be saved to internal memory or SD card (if present).

24. Plus Button

Used to complete text input, also works along side the Minus button on the left JoyCon controller.

25. A/B/X/Y Buttons

Standard in action buttons, used within game play and operating the console.

26. Home Button

The Home button is used to return to the home screen at anytime. Press and hold for quick menu.

27. SL Buttons

The SL and SR are used at the trigger buttons when playing in local multiplayer with the JoyCon controllers.

28. SR Buttons

The SL and SR are used at the trigger buttons when playing in local multiplayer with the JoyCon controllers.

29. L Button

The left bumper button on the left JoyCon controller mainly used during game play.

30. R Button

The right bumper button on the right JoyCon controller mainly used during game play.

31. Player Indicator LED’s

Indicators for the player number selected on the controller when playing in local multiplayer mode.

32. Sync Buttons

Used to sync the controllers to the console. Sync by pressing the and holding the sync buttons on the JoyCon controllers.

33. ZL Button

The ZR and ZL buttons are used as action buttons in game play and can be used to navigate menus.

34. ZR Button

The ZR and ZL buttons are used as action buttons in game play and can be used to navigate menus.

35. Release Buttons

Press the buttons to release the JoyCon controllers from the console or from the JoyCon Grip.

36. JoyCon Straps

Used to secure the JoyCon controllers during game play. These straps can slide on to the JoyCon controllers and be used in multiplayer as the ZR and ZL buttons.
