  • Issue:
    The console freezes and becomes unresponsive in general operation. For example when browsing through menus or installing software.

  • 1.

    Press and hold the Power button for 20 seconds. The console will shut off.

    Press the Power button to turn on the console.
  • 2. The console will display "Repairing console storage…".
  • 3.

    You can also check your PlayStation has the most up to date software.

    If the fault persists and there is no system software update, restore your console to default settings.
