  • Issue:
    After being installed, some games may freeze and crash at times.

  • 1. Ensure the PlayStation is turned off fully.

  • 2. Press and hold the Power button on the front of the console until you have heard 2 beeps. After the second beep, release the Power button.
  • 3.

    Plug the cable into the controller, then plug the other end into the USB slot on the front of the PS5.

  • 4.

    Press the PS button on the controller.

  • 5.

    Scroll to Clear Cache and Rebuild Database and press the X button.

  • 6.

    Scroll to Clear System Software Cache and press the X button.

  • 7.

    Scroll to OK and press the X button.

  • 8.

    The console will clear the system software cache, then restart.

  • 9.

    Once the console has rebooted, press the PS button.

  • 10.

    Scroll to Power and press the X button.

  • 11.

    Scroll to Turn Off PS5 and press the X button.

  • 12.

    The console will shut down.

  • 13.

    Press and hold the Power button on the front of the console until you have heard 2 beeps. After the second beep, release the Power button.

  • 14.

    Press the PS button on the controller.

  • 15.

    Scroll to Clear Cache and Rebuild Database and press the X button.

  • 16.

    Scroll to Rebuild Database and press the X button.

  • 17.

    Scroll to OK and press the X button.

  • 18.

    The console will restart and rebuild the database.
