  • Issue:
    The console freezes becomes unresponsive when in general operation. For example while browsing through menu or installing software.
  • 1. This fault is often caused by a Blu-ray disc or game being in the disk drive whilst downloading or installing content from the PlayStation store. Remove the disc by pressing the Eject Disc button on the console.
  • 2. Restart your console by pressing the Power button.
  • 3. You can also check your PlayStation has the most up to date software.

  • 4. If the fault persists and there is no system software update, restore your console to default settings.
